Alicia Keys - "Un-thinkable (I'm Ready)"

Hoy mismo se ha estrenado el video de "Un-thinkable (I'm Ready)", que es el tercer single de su último disco "The Element of Freedom" después de "Doesn't Mean Anyhing" y "Try Sleeping With a Broken Heart". La verdad que Alicia Keys no ha sido capaz de enganchar al público (ni a mi) desde un principio con este disco, quizás por la falta de promoción, por su primer single tan flojo o por sus videos poco originales. Pero, tras ver el video de "Un-thinkable", no tengo duda de que Alicia ha vuelto y a lo grande. El video nos presenta el problema de las parejas interraciales que, a pesar del paso de los años (que se muestran por los cambios de vestuario y efectos de la imagen) se han seguido viendo mal en la sociedad estadounidense y, en este y muchos casos, la familia se opone radicalmente a estas relaciones. El chico blanco del video es el actor Chad Michael Murray. Supongo que Alicia conocerá el problema de cerca puesto que su padre es jamaicano y negro y su madre estadounidense (de ascendencia italiana) y blanca.

Todo parecía indicar que el tercer single sería "Put It In a Love Song", la canción que interpreta junto a Beyoncé y que grabaron ya el video durante el carnaval de Rio de Janeiro. O incluso, "Empire State of Mind (Part II)", que la cantaba en todos los programas a los que iba a promocionar su disco.



Asimismo, en 2008 se estrenó "La Vida Secreta de las Abejas", que también trata el tema de la segregación racial durante los años 60 y las calamidades que se cometieron sobre todo en los Estados sureños. En ella Keys interpreta más que correctamente a June Boatwright, una de las hermanas que regentan una fábrica de miel en Carolina del Sur. Una anécdota curiosa de la película fue que Alicia Keys tuvo que aprender a tocar (un poco) el Cello para la película. Sin más, os dejo con el precioso video de "Un-thinkable (I'm Ready)", que por cierto, para mí es una de las mejores de su disco junto a "Love Is My Disease" y "Love Is Blind". ¡TEMAZO!
